Wishing House is a well appointed four story Victorian town house, nestling in the centre of the ancient town of Rye. It is a two-minute walk from the historic citadel and The Strand Quay, with its unique period buildings. As such Wishing House is well placed for overnight stays and as base for touring the Sussex countryside including walks to the sea as well as bird watching at the local Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.

Cyclists are also most welcome as there is secure storage and repair facilities at the rear of the premises.

A large car park is available nearby, providing off road car parking.

This recently refurbish accommodation is run as a family concern by Irene Cuthbert and her son Joe, we hope you will find the atmosphere welcoming and relaxing. There is a range of well-priced restaurants and pubs nearby to suit all tastes and pockets.

Accommodation extends to a double bedroom with en-suite; this has its own well-appointed sitting room. Also there is a further large double bed room with additional family room, which can accommodate up to four guests.

All rooms have TV and tea/coffee making facilities.

Information and advice concerning possible places to visit is readily available at Wishing House. Also there is a well organised and established TIC who can help you book ahead, located only 100 yards around the corner.

Breakfast is served at a time of your choosing and an extensive menu is available.

Wishing House deliberately places itself as an inexpensive facility targeting those who may wish to visit Rye on a budget.
