Beach Access

14th October 2016

Philip Moore:

In autumn and through the winter months the gate that you mention is often closed as contractors are moving shingle back to the western beaches. However if you walk a hundred metres to the right you can easily go down to the beach by avoiding their fenced off piece of beach.

Beach Access

31st August 2016

Vicky Peters:

Can anyone tell me if you can currently access the beach from the end of the path through the nature reserve? It was closed for works last time I tried to walk down to the sea and I wanted to direct some visitors down there if it is open. With many thanks.

Yes, it's owned by the Follows family & has been for many years. It had a new roof last year & Mr Follows made some repairs to the body earlier this year.

Maggie Whitmore:

Does anybody know who owns the railway carriage in The Harbour please?

It seems in need of a little T.L.C.

Fiber Optic?

4th June 2014

Dave001 007:

Hello, is anyone else in Rye Harbour unable to order FO from BT infinity? I have a unit in one of the business parks on Harbour Road and to this very day am still unable to upgrade from BB to FO. Have we just been completely missed out by BT's 21st century upgrade? There is only one exchange locally and I can't seem to see a green BT box on harbour road at all, so I just dont get it. If it reaches as far as Camber ... why the fudge does it not reach me? Any response will be most welcome.

Yours sincerely,

A disgruntled local business owner.

Hi there, yes it would be for a long weekend. We live in Folkestone but are older people so don't want to drive too far. Do you have a website please?

Accommodation

27th January 2014

Jane Verrell:

Hi Rachel I've just seen your message and wanted to respond. What sort of property are you looking to rent? Is it just for a short break? I have a cottage called Seakale in Tram Road, Rye Harbour and there are also other holiday let cottages in the same area. You can find these by googling 'holiday lets, rye harbour' and looking on a site such as Holiday Lettings. Hope that helps! Jane

Is there somewhere on here that advertises place to rent just in Rye Harbour and on the caravan site? Seems hard to find anywhere other than the old Vicarage.
