Find out: take a guided walk round Rye, looking at the houses and places associated with Mapp and Lucia novels, taking in the houses used in both the C4 and the BBC TV series. Walk round Rye and enter E.F.Benson’s world. See the places associated with both the stories and Benson himself.

THE E.F. BENSON SOCIETY

The E.F.Benson Society works to promote interest in E.F.Benson and the Benson family, and holds events and talks throughout the year as well as producing an annual journal and other publications. Membership is £12, £15 for two people at the same address, for UK and Europe, and £20 for other parts of the world. The Society was founded in 1985 and has produced its journal every year since, and published out of print Benson articles and stories as well as reprinting Betty Askwith’s biography of the Benson family and other Benson related material and essays. See the Society’s website for all its publications and also out of print E.F. Benson books.
